How TeachUp uses your information

What we collect

If you subscribe to the newsletter, TeachUp stores the email address you enter. If you sign in and contribute, TeachUp receives account identity information from the sign-in service and stores your account identifier, email address, and the content you submit. Community posts show “Community member” by default. You can choose to display your account name or a nickname instead. Research listings include the author name you choose to publish.

What is public

Resource listings, research titles and author names, descriptions, links, and community messages appear publicly. Your account email address is not displayed on those pages. Newsletter email addresses and contributor account details are available in the owner dashboard, not the public library. Research contributors must be adults and must not submit private details about other people. A public page may be indexed or copied by others even if its listing is later removed.

Why we use it

We use this information to operate the resource library and community, credit contributors, manage reports, and maintain newsletter subscriptions. Newsletter subscription is separate from signing in or contributing; it is optional on contribution forms. TeachUp does not currently send a newsletter automatically.

Outside services and links

Sign-in and hosting services help operate this website. External resources and paper links open other websites with their own privacy practices. Do not include private information about students, classmates, or research participants in public submissions.

Requests and concerns

To ask about your information, request removal of a public listing, or raise a privacy concern, email teachuplanguages@gmail.com. A request to remove a TeachUp listing cannot remove copies made elsewhere or the paper at its original host. TeachUp will review requests and applicable obligations.
